The Boise Spuds banked on Mahad Einan and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the San Antonio hitters in check. The final score was 2-1, Spuds. The win was credited to 23-year old right-handed pitcher Máximo Rivera in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Steve McFarland took the loss. Now 2-10, the 2064 Outlaws have been dreadful.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, 28-year old shortstop Dan Raymond had a chance to be the hero. San Antonio pitcher Steve McFarland had other ideas. But with one out, Raymond hit a sacrifice fly. The Spuds had themselves a dramatic win.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Einan said.
