The Sacramento Mad Popes topped the Hawaii Tropics, 7-5, the lion's share of the credit going to center fielder Lou Bayou. On the day, Bayou was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 4 runs for the Mad Popes. The winning pitcher was 35-year old right-handed pitcher Sakutaro Kawano.
