Dodgers Advance to Round 2
It's a sweet sweep for the Oshawa Dodgers and they have won the Round 1. The Traverse City Talons were not able to keep pace with the Dodgers and dropped the series in short order, losing, 7-3, in the deciding game.

"This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Traverse City manager Ian Patrick Anderson.

It's now on to the Round 2 for Oshawa after their 4-0 series win.

Leading the way for the winners was first baseman Bryan Burgoin, who was named MVP. For the series, Burgoin hit .471 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Oshawa Dodgers will play against the Charlottesville Marching Ants in the next round. Charlottesville won their series against the Albany Atoms 4 games to 0. The Round 2 is scheduled to begin on August 27th , 2062.
