Pharaohs Hammered by Nielsson, Drop Game 3 to Thunder Bears

At 37, Maximilian Nielsson knows he may not have many playoff appearances left, so he was determined to make it memorable. Mission accomplished.
The Moscow Thunder Bears designated hitter went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once to help his club get past the Cairo Pharaohs, 4-3, in Game 3 of the Wild Series at Bears Den. With the win, Moscow takes a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Frank Lee drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances against the Pharaohs. With the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Moscow in front, 4-3.
"It was a good day but I'm not letting my guard down," Lee said. "I'll let my guard down as soon as someone puts a big, fat championship ring on my finger."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Bears Den in Moscow.
