Jerusalem Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-1
|
The Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Tokyo Pearls, winning, 8-2, at The Holy Land. Hebrew Hammers right-hander José Castro threw 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Hebrew Hammers to 3-1 in the best-of-7 Wild Series.
In the bottom of the fifth, Jerusalem second baseman Han-wu Ku had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 1st and one out, Ku stroked a 2-run home run to right. It made the score 3-1, Jerusalem. For the game, he slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice.
Ku called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Holy Land in Jerusalem.
