Wild Series Goes the Distance, Jerusalem Prevails
|
The Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers and Tokyo Pearls hooked up in a classic Wild Series that went right down to the wire.
In the end, it's Jerusalem heading off to the Grand Slam Cup by Denny's, Marko and Subaru, after a 5-4 win at Manama Fields tonight earned the 4-3 series win.
Outside Manama Fields, whether they were supporters of Jerusalem or Tokyo, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget.
Han-wu Ku played the hero for the Hebrew Hammers in the series, as his MVP performance included a .321 batting average, with a .367 on-base percentage. He also had 6 home runs, 8 RBI and scored 10 runs.
The Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Moscow Thunder Bears - Cairo Pharaohs series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The Grand Slam Cup by Denny's, Marko and Subaru is scheduled to begin on October 4th , 2062.
