Geoghegan Round Game 1 Goes to Montreal, Thanks to Serna
The Montreal Blazers powered past the visiting Cape Fear Swamp Foxes, 3-2, in the opener of the Geoghegan Round at Ubisoft Field. Montreal second baseman Jaime Serna was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, to lead the charge. The Blazers now lead the series 1-0.

Manny Burgus helped out the Montreal cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the designated hitter drove in one run.

"We're happy," Burgus told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ubisoft Field in Montreal.
