Montreal Extends Series Lead in Low-Scoring Affair
The Montreal Blazers moved to within one game of the Doubleday Series, downing the visiting Cape Fear Swamp Foxes at Ubisoft Field by a score of 3-2. Blazers right-hander Luis González had a strong outing in which he threw 6.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The win gives the Blazers a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Geoghegan Round.

Enver Kusçu had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for Montreal. He came through with a 2-run single to put Montreal in front, 3-2.

"I thought Luis threw the ball well across the board," said Montreal manager Paul Scholes.

The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, October 3rd , 2062 at Blackwater Field in Wilmington.
