Bluebirds Win Doubleday Series
|
All playoffs end with joy on one side and despair on the other. Today, the Nashville Bluebirds are the ones feeling overwhelmed with excitement, and the Hawaii Tropics are the ones thinking about what they could have done differently.
The Bluebirds took a 3-2 victory at Les Paul Field today, which gave Nashville a 4-2 series win.
With the win, Nashville will advance to play in the Cartwright Cup.
"We aren't ready to go home yet," said Bluebirds center fielder Alfonso Gonzáles, who was named series MVP.
The Nashville Bluebirds don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Twin Cities River Monsters - Sacramento Mad Popes series. Twin Cities leads the series 3 games to 2. The Cartwright Cup is scheduled to begin on October 17th , 2062.
