River Monsters Hammered by Tran-Nhu, Drop Game 3 to Mad Popes
The Sacramento Mad Popes have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Twin Cities River Monsters, winning, 13-6, at Land O' Lakes Ballpark. Mad Popes first baseman Chinh Tran-Nhu was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win cuts the deficit facing the Mad Popes to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Doubleday Series.

In the top of the first, Mohammed bin Mus'ad ambushed a 0-2 fastball from Erik Brooks and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Sacramento a quick 2-0 lead.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Tran-Nhu.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Land O' Lakes Ballpark in St. Paul.
