Twin Cities Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-2
|
Already down in the Cartwright Cup, the Twin Cities River Monsters put on their best show, beating the Nashville Bluebirds by a final score of 6-0. Jerry Stone was special. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. Twin Cities now trails Nashville 3-2 in the best-of-7 affair.
Stone was in the zone all game. He frustrated Nashville hitters while giving the River Monsters 7 innings of quality work. Stone threw 91 pitches, allowing 5 hits and getting 6 punchouts.
Stone attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
The next game is set to be played for Wednesday, October 25th , 2062 at Les Paul Field in Nashville.
