The Sacramento Mad Popes, behind a great outing from Jamie Barber defeated the Bikini Krill, 2-1, at The Basilica at Muskrat Slough. Claudio Torres, now 4-4, was credited with the win in 2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 0 and walking 0. Today's win puts Sacramento at 63-55, while Bikini falls to 62-56.

Had Mohammed bin Mus'ad not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, bin Mus'ad hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Mad Popes.

"Jamie was Jamie," said Mad Popes manager Fernando Pacheco. "We know what we'll get whenever he takes the mound."
