| Ndali Sweeps into the World Series | Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the Sub League 2 League Championship Series. It turned out quite a bit different.
\nThe Ndali Barons swept aside the Casablanca Islanders to advance to the World Series, winning the final game by a 5-1 score at Ballpark of Ndali.
The series MVP was right fielder Raúl Gasco, who hit .333 with a .429 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 5 runs.
"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."
The Ndali Barons will play against the Lagos Wreckers in the next round. Lagos won their series against the Luanda Anglers 4 games to 0. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes. |
