Nine third baseman Hilel Bahir left his imprint on his team's 8-5 win over the Des Moines Kernels. Bahir was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for Yellow Springs in the contest. Yellow Springs, now 2-0, is setting the league on fire so far.

With Yellow Springs leading 3-2 in the bottom of the third, Bahir hit a 2-run single off Des Moines hurler Steven Clayton. It was the 2nd hit of the season for Bahir and put his team ahead, 5-2.

"We maximized our offense today," said Yellow Springs skipper Bill Inkster. "That makes everyone's life easier."
