Talons Need Extra Frames to Get Past Aztecs
The Phoenix Talons defeated the Mexico City Aztecs, 8-7, in 10 innings at Denny's Paul D. Lunn Memorial Stadium Presented By Subaru. G'Tuda Choppa produced 1 single and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The winner in relief was Manuel Parra. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. Phoenix is off to a hot start at 14-5.

The Talons got a clutch hit from designated hitter Israel Pérez. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right-center, to win the game for the Talons.
