Robins Earn 5-4 Home Win
|
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Robins beat the Blazers.
The Cobble Hill Robins beat the Montreal Blazers, 5-4, in part because of third baseman Ismael Delgado. He went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Cobble Hill pitcher Bobby McHone got the win, upping his record to 1-1. Umar Dogar got the loss.
In the bottom of the third, Cobble Hill first baseman Santiago Rodríguez had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Rodríguez stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 3-2, Cobble Hill. For the game, he went 1-3 with a walk.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Delgado, "and then get after it again."
The win puts Cobble Hill at 16-4.
