Bluebirds Win at Brook Park, 5-1
|
Nashville and Brook Park put this game in the books despite some rain.
The Nashville Bluebirds beat the Brook Park Brownies, 5-1, at Brownie Field. Johnny Reed, in particular, was impressive. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The Brownies, now 7-13, continue their inauspicious start.
Early in the game, Reed had a 2-run home run for Nashville. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Bluebirds on top, 2-0.
"Johnny was ready to go. Big day for him," said Nashville manager Brand Michael.
