Mad Popes Suffer One-Run Loss at Valencia
Valencia shortstop Jesús Romero picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Sacramento Mad Popes, 7-6. Lindsay Barber closed the game out for Valencia, earning his 1st save. Sacramento, with the loss, is still a robust 15-6.

Valencia took a 7-4 lead on Romero's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Von Alejo in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Valencia to the win.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Valencia skipper Roberto Solís.
