The Atlantic City Gamblers in 11 innings downed the Cape Fear Swamp Foxes, 7-3, at Blackwater Field. Javier Aguilar led the way, going 4-for-6 for Atlantic City. Cape Fear drops to 15-10.
Atlantic City used the timely hitting of Jafar Seif al Din to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Gamblers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
In postgame remarks, Aguilar said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
