Flyers Earn 4-3 Win Against Swamp Foxes
|
The Charlotte Flyers picked up a win at Family Dollar Field, dropping the Cape Fear Swamp Foxes, 4-3, in 10 innings. Buwono Mainaky, who is tied for 7th in the JL with a 8.0 K/9 rate, was the difference-maker. Charlotte reliever Mokichi Nakamura picked up the win. David Wade, who finished 2nd in the JL in saves with 42 in 2060, took the loss for Cape Fear. Charlotte is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 10th in 25 games.
The decisive blow was delivered by José Bedreddin in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 33-year old right-handed pitcher David Wade to win the game for Charlotte. The home crowd went nuts.
"This place was rockin'," said Bedreddin.
