Brook Park Slaps 3-1 Loss on Yellow Springs
The Brook Park Brownies faced a tough opponent in Yellow Springs pitcher Ted Neill, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Brownie Field by a final score of 3-1. Neill went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Brook Park reliever Jesús Huerta picked up the win to move to 2-0. Tokugawa Yamashita suffered the loss. Picking up his 4th save was 24-year old left-handed pitcher Shawn Denning.

Çelik Lüfi drove in one run for Brook Park. The 29-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Tokugawa Yamashita. It was his 6th RBI of the season.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Lüfi.

The Nine drop to 8-17, as their stumbling start to the 2064 season continues.
