The Atlantic City Gamblers rode a solid performance from 24-year-old starting pitcher Brian Whitford to a win, beating the Jacksonville Zombies, 5-0, at The Ballpark at Bally's. With the win, Atlantic City lifts its record to 13-13.

Joe Jackson dealt the Zombies a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Atlantic City leading 1-0, Jackson hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"We have a lot of confidence in Brian," said Atlantic City manager Mario González.
