Cramer Slugs Bluebirds to 14-4 Win
Led by Carter Cramer, the Nashville Bluebirds downed the Twin Cities River Monsters, 14-4. Cramer belted 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the Bluebirds. Picking up the win was Jim Ploughman. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits. The left--hander struck out 6 and walked 1. The Bluebirds, now 22-7, have been on fire in the early going.

De-shi Kuo had a big bases-clearing double for the Bluebirds in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Nashville trailing 3-1 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from 35-year old left-handed pitcher Tokugawa Yamashita and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bluebirds ahead, 4-3.

"We maximized our offense today," said Nashville skipper Brent Ross. "That makes everyone's life easier."
