Rocky Mountain Oysters starter Edgar Chávez was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Boise Spuds, 5-2. The Spuds, now 10-20, continue their inauspicious start.
Rocky Mountain used a clutch at-bat from Shane Holmes to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Oysters ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Afterward, Boise manager Mario Contreras said: "We've hit a rough patch."
