Mad Popes Suffer One-Run Loss at Portland
In a low-scoring tilt between the Portland Lumberjacks and the Sacramento Mad Popes, John O'Leary, who is tied for 2nd in the FL with a 9.2 K/9 rate, was the difference-maker. The Portland right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Portland has a mark of 22-10 after the win.

Portland took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Bartolo McFadden hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Lumberjacks fans to their feet.

"John is a tough competitor," said Portland manager Mons Raider.
