The Charm City Jimmies and Montreal Blazers played an exciting game.
Behind a solid performance from right fielder Kazunari Chikafuji, the Charm City Jimmies defeated the Montreal Blazers, 4-3. Chikafuji went 2 for 3 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs for the Jimmies. Candrata Parmar came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0.
Chikafuji had an important at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the seventh, when he hit a triple. The Jimmies went on to win.
In postgame remarks, Chikafuji hailed his team's "grit."
The win gives Charm City a season record of 19-14.
