Mad Popes 3-1 Winners Versus Bikini
The Sacramento Mad Popes got a magnificent performance from pitcher Jamie Barber, who muffled the Bikini offense en route to a tight, 3-1 Mad Popes win at The Basilica at Muskrat Slough. Don Jordan picked up the save for Sacramento, his 1st of the year. Sacramento has an impressive 23-10 record.

Sacramento took a 2-1 lead on Jorge Reyes's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Reyes hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Bikini pitcher Masami Kichida visibly frustrated.

"Jamie executed his pitches at a high level," said Sacramento manager Fernando Pacheco.
