The 4-hit performance of Shu-de Sa helped the Valencia Stars beat the Sacramento Mad Popes, 8-1. Valencia pitcher Shiro Takahashi earned the win, hiking his record to 2-4. Sakutaro Kawano suffered the loss. The win makes Valencia 12-22.

Sa had a key at-bat for Valencia in the bottom of the first. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 7th double of the season and gave Valencia an early 2-0 lead.

"We scored more than enough runs this time," said Valencia manager Roberto Solís. "Now watch. The next game we'll probably struggle to get a base hit."
