Bluebirds Held in Check by River Monsters, Lose, 4-1

The Twin Cities River Monsters got a stellar effort from pitcher Erik Brooks, helping Twin Cities score a win over the visiting Nashville Bluebirds, 4-1. Picking up the save was Andrés Gonzáles, his 3rd. With the victory, the River Monsters record stands at 19-16.
The River Monsters got an important contribution from third baseman Raúl Gallehos, who in the bottom of the first punched a 2-1 fastball to left for a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the River Monsters ahead, 3-0.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Brooks.
