Slumping Surfers Lose Again

Bikini Krill starter Arturo Meza was on his game, helping his team beat the Long Beach Surfers, 4-1. The winner was Meza. He threw 5.1 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Greg Jackson. Picking up his 8th save was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Winston Morris.
Phil Tatham, who is tied for 3rd in the FL in doubles with 14, had a direct impact on the outcome. Tatham contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first inning to put Bikini up, 2-0.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Meza.
Long Beach is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 8 in a row.
