Omaha Edges Twin Cities in Extra Innings
The Omaha Cyclones battled the Twin Cities River Monsters into extra innings before the outcome was decided. The Cyclones won it, finally, 7-6, in 10 innings. In the game, Omaha left fielder Jorge Delgado was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Twin Cities, with the loss, is still a hardy 3-1.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Omaha. That's when Juan Rivera hit a run-scoring double off 25-year old right-handed pitcher Ernesto Valadez to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"We couldn't have scripted it any better," Rivera said in his postgame press conference.
