The Hawaii Tropics did just enough to sneak past the Bikini Krill, 3-2, at Forever Field. Hawaii left fielder José Ordóñez, in particular, had a standout performance. The save went to Utkan Göçek, his 5th this season. With the win, Hawaii upped its record to 21-19.

Hawaii used the timely hitting of Vincente Méndez to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Tropics on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Hawaii manager Rich Kerr commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
