Wolves Get Past Omaha for 7-6 Win
|
The Madison Wolves overcame a good performance by Omaha right fielder Pat Loder to knock off Omaha, 7-6, at Shotz Stadium. Loder was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Reliever Clint Thomas picked up the win. His record improves to 7-8. Bob Gentle took the loss. The Wolves now have a record of 39-83.
Dave McClain was the walk-off hero for Madison. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Wolves designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said McClain.
