Bluebirds Lose to Kernels, 9-2
The exploits of left fielder Wan-ling Koo, who is tied for 9th in the FL in home runs with 10, helped the Des Moines Kernels defeat the Nashville Bluebirds, 9-2. Koo went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Steven Clayton, who finished 5th in the FL in strikeouts with 158 in 2059, was the winner. He's now 5-3. The loser was Mark Lolololo. So far in 2062, Des Moines is 21-21.

Félix Parreno had a big run-scoring triple for the Kernels in the top of the fifth inning. With Des Moines leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he got a sinker from Mark Lolololo, who is tied for 6th in the FL in quality starts with 5, and swatted a triple to center. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Kernels ahead, 4-2.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Koo.
