Vancouver took on Twin Cities in front of a lively crowd.

Vancouver first baseman Carlos Colón had a 3-RBI game, which proved instrumental to his team beating the Twin Cities River Monsters, 11-4. Colón picked up 2 singles and 1 double in the ballgame. Dirk Bessi was the winner. Over 6 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 4 hits, with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts. Dave Woolford earned his 2nd save, after closing out the game.

Zhi Li had a big 3-run home run for the Mounties in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Vancouver trailing 3-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a fastball from Henry Wemp, who is tied for 2nd in the FL in strikeouts with 59, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Mounties on top, 4-3.

"Big team win," Colón said later.

By defeating Twin Cities, the second-place Mounties improved to 29-17.
