Twin Cities River Monsters starter Jerry Stone pitched a strong game against the Valencia Stars at Dunn Field, leading the River Monsters to victory, 5-3. The defeat makes Valencia 16-30.

Chao Yuan came through with a big-time hit for Twin Cities. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Jerry pitched his heart out," said Twin Cities manager Gerald Brandt.
