Mad Popes Suffer Blowout Loss to River Monsters
The Twin Cities River Monsters pinned a convincing loss on the Sacramento Mad Popes, 13-2, at The Basilica at Muskrat Slough. Randall Gray was a main factor in the win. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for Twin Cities. Twin Cities pitcher António García got the win. He's now 4-1. Mario Reyes was tagged with the loss. Twin Cities occupies second place in the Frick League Heartland Division at 27-20.

Twin Cities used the hitting of César Román to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the River Monsters on top, 2-0. For the game, Román had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We're trying to go out there and win games," Gray told the Twin Cities Daily, "and we played pretty well tonight."
