It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Benedicto Cruz. Cruz went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Castroville pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at The Heart, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Elkins Buzzards had a win, 8-4, over the Fighting Artichokes.

"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.

Benedicto Cruz singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Víctor Blume in the 8th, flied out in the 9th and singled in the 11th.

So far this year, Cruz is batting .350 with 3 home runs.
