Charlotte turned a good effort from starter Qing-lai Ou-yang into a win over the Rocky Mountain Oysters at Smashburger Field. The Flyers won the game, 4-2. The first-place Flyers have won 5 in a row.

Charlotte took a 4-2 lead on José Bedreddin's 12th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Bedreddin hit in the top of the eighth, left Rocky Mountain pitcher Joe Shaw visibly frustrated.

After the game, Charlotte manager Walt Whitworth applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
