Behind a fine performance from Dave Ackerman, the Charm City Jimmies knocked off the Calgary Pioneers, 6-3. Ackerman was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs for the Jimmies. John Mellon, the winner, is now 3-3. He struck out 1 and walked 1 over 5.2 innings, while allowing 3 runs on 8 hits.

Charm City used the hitting of Arturo Pérez to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Jimmies on top, 4-1. For the game, Pérez had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Ackerman told the Charm City Gazette.
