Cobble Hill 31-19 After 4-1 Victory
|
At Boise Riverfront Stadium, the Boise Spuds and Cobble Hill Robins were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Cobble Hill Robins starter Bobby McHone worked his magic, to help his team defeat the Boise Spuds, 4-1. McHone, now 4-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. José Betancourt collected his 3rd save.
Cobble Hill used a clutch at-bat from Njål Helgestad to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Robins ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I try to not think too much," said McHone.
The Robins now own a record of 31-19.
