The Mexico City Aztecs turned back the Montreal Blazers, 5-4, at Quetzalcoatl Dome. Edmond Spits, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 2-3 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI. The win went to Bryan Cunningham in relief. His record improves to 2-3. Wlodz Sidelsky took the loss. The setback makes Montreal 31-19.

Kosami Ota was the walk-off hero for Mexico City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Aztecs pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This wasn't a good win," said Spits. "It was a great win."
