Dallas Dixon impressed in the 7-4 Charlotte win over Mexico City. Dixon, who finished 5th in the JL in on-base percentage with .383 in 2059, went 4 for 4 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Picking up his 16th save was 12-year veteran Josh Dougherty. The Flyers win now puts them at 32-21.

The Flyers got a big at-bat from right fielder José Vargas. For the game, Vargas went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 times. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 13th double of the season gave Charlotte a 4-3 lead.
