Austin Gets 11-8 Win
Luis Rúbio was a major factor in the 11-8 Austin win over Cobble Hill. The Shredders second baseman went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Alfonso Costello snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Ignacio Lewis suffered the loss. At 23-30, the Shredders find themselves in 6th place in the Johnson League Frontier Division.

Jorge Herrera came through with a big-time hit for Austin. The left fielder smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 11-8. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We maximized our offense today," said Austin skipper Víctor Asario. "That makes everyone's life easier."
