Hills Lifts Mounties to 9-7 Win
Benefiting from Bob Hills's productive game, the Vancouver Mounties downed the Louisville Sluggers, 9-7. Hills went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Mounties. Geoffrey Greening earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Jesús García closed it out for his 12th save.

In the top of the eighth, the Mounties grabbed the lead when Hills hit his 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Joshua Blenkhorn made it 9-7, Vancouver.

"We came out aggressive," said Mounties manager Hung-k'uei Cui. "We came out swinging the bats."

After today's action, Vancouver sits at 27-27, while Louisville falls to 26-28.
