Good production from first baseman Tariel Bogolyubski helped the Cape Fear Swamp Foxes topple the Mexico City Aztecs, 7-4. Bogolyubski was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 for the Swamp Foxes. At 25-32, the Swamp Foxes claim 6th place in the Johnson League Atlantic Division.

José Montoya played the role of hero for Cape Fear. In the bottom of the ninth, he launched a grand slam home run off Mike Dykstra to win the game. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.

"This place sure got loud," said Francisco Catazara, the Cape Fear manager.
