Omaha Cyclones starter Mathis Gérard pitched a good game to help his team take down the Louisville Sluggers, 4-0. Gérard picked up the win for Omaha, going 6.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 9-10. At 53-70, the Cyclones find themselves in 5th place in the Frick League Heartland Division.

Stan Lodge dealt the Sluggers a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Omaha leading 1-0, Lodge, who is the top prospect in the Cyclones organization, hit a 3-1 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Lodge said.
