Bikini Stopped, 4-1, by Long Beach

The home crowd had a good time watching the Bikini Krill and Long Beach Surfers get after it.
The Long Beach Surfers knocked off the Bikini Krill, 4-1, in Frick League action at Vito Costantino Memorial Stadium. Long Beach pitcher and Port La Belle, Florida, native Vicente Moreno had an outstanding performance. Paul Berry was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 5 save opportunities.
The Surfers got a big at-bat from right fielder Jesús Reyes. For the game, Reyes was 1-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Long Beach a 3-1 lead.
Reyes called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
Long Beach is now 47-76, while Bikini is 66-57.
