The Mexico City Aztecs had to overcome a fine effort from Las Vegas pitcher Afzul Chishti to win, 3-2, at Quetzalcoatl Dome. Chishti went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. The defeat makes Las Vegas 69-56.
The Aztecs got a clutch hit from center fielder Nestor Saatsakis. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Aztecs.
"The game of baseball will test you," said Ramiro Estrada, the Mexico City skipper. "This one tested us."
