Des Moines Kernels starter Garth Dobbs had all his pitches working at Kid Krauss's Kum & Go Kourtyard. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-0 Des Moines win over the Omaha Cyclones. Des Moines has now won 6 in a row.

Des Moines designated hitter Carlos Rodríguez contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 100th hit of the season and put the Kernels ahead, 2-0.

"I like the roll we're on right now," said Rodríguez after the game.
