Crawdads Suffer One-Run Loss at Charlotte
Charlotte turned a good performance from starting pitcher Buwono Mainaky into a 2-1 triumph over the New Orleans Crawdads at Family Dollar Field. Josh Dougherty recorded the save, making him 30 for 32. The victory gives Charlotte a record of 71-56.

The Flyers got a big at-bat from third baseman Domingo Chávez. For the game, Chávez went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 21st home run of the season gave Charlotte a 2-0 lead.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Chávez told the Charlotte Citizen.
